Merry Christmas everyone!

If you don't celebrate Christmas, too bad. I do, so I'm saying Merry Christmas, not happy holidays. Deal with it, and I'm really not sorry if it offends you lol.

#15778 First Aid Kit

Posted by D.McGuire on 16 July 2012 - 01:32 AM

Some band aids and sterile wipes or just small simple things like that I guess. I don't have one, but if I did I'd most like just throw in a few bands aids, gauze pads, wipes, whatever else I can steal from our supply closet lol.

You really don't need an oxygen cylinder, but if you really want one, I've heard that some Walmarts started selling small, single use ones. Never used them or seen them, so I don't know how they are, but im guessing they're probably pretty ineffective in ems or first aid though.

And btw.... you're a whacker.

+1 on everything She said, particularly that lol

#33280 Thinking Of Quitting Ert

Posted by Guest on 07 August 2013 - 10:42 PM

Hi guys,

Just to let you know, I may quit the ERT soon. The inactivity in FD is unacceptable, and plus, we have too many Cadets. Just a warning, it may occur, it may not.

Thanks,

Dan C. Forest

Fire Cadet Daniel C. Forest

Well Chief, I hate to say it... I guess I don't, but with an attitude like that, it'd be no great loss. Just a warning, whether it be online or in real life, an attitude like that will get you on nobody's good side, will severely cripple you for any sort of advancement, and to add being on nobody's good side, nobody will see you as a valuable team member or a team member at all and will likely start driving you away. Only one cadet has shown that they can be a Cadet. I was a firefighter when I joined here, but I still had to do probation, and be a firefighter under a truck officer who was not a firefighter. You need to act your position and you will eventually move along if you can prove yourself capable.

*I slowly follow the CADET around the store, astounded every time the CADET tries to tell me, an experienced Lieutenant, and HIS TRAINING OFFICER to get something. But, as nice as I am, I grab the ketchup, and two sticks of butter. I hear him on the radio saying I'm not old enough to decide what to eat for dessert.*

'This little snot nosed, fresh out of the academy KID thinks I'm too young to decide what I want to eat? Like fuck. I swear to Jesus, I'm gonna take a swing at him,' I mutter to myself.

*I notice a crew-cut guy wearing an 'Army' shirt. He's looking at me smiling, and simply shaking his head.*

'You know, Lieu, if you hit him, it's not only assault, but abuse of authority.'

*I laugh, and shrug my shoulders, walking towards the front of the store, not really giving a damn where Galligano is. At the checkout, when he hands me two bags, I simply set them on the ground where I stand, and walk out the automatic doors, talking over my shoulder.*

'You know, Galligano, when I was a probie, back in the early 2000's, I carried everything for my Lieutenants. And if I'd talk to them the way you talk to Nick and I, I wouldn't have a set of teeth.'

*I climb back into the rig in my seat, and return my portable to my coat pocket, making sure it's off.*

#22673 Significant Incidents In Your Area...

Posted by D.McGuire on 28 October 2012 - 05:24 AM

Thought this was worth sharing from the PD just now

Central: "Car 6. Head over to (address) for the uhh... Cat meowing."

*About 15 seconds pass*

Car 6: "Ok..."

Central: "Yeah just be advised the meowing was loud enough to wake the resident. Be safe out there."

Car 6: "Alright, start sending a backup our way just in case."

Central: "Code 5 (Our version of 10-4, ok, received, that kinda stuff), also be advised caller did not know where the cat was, she was too afraid to go look."

Car 6: "Haha, alright we're stepping out."

*Couple minutes later*

Car 6: "Car 6 to Central."

Central: "Standing by."

Car 6: "Multiple cats located on scene. One black cat fled upon our arrival, second cat remained at scene and was advised of the Township's noise curfew and sent on it's way. Should no longer be a nuisance to that resident."

Central: "Received, second cat left without incident; I'll make sure the BOLO for the black cat gets into the daily notes for the next tour. Phenomenal work out there, Car 6."

#15777 First Aid Kit

Posted by Guest on 16 July 2012 - 01:30 AM

Just a tip for ya, take into consideration where you will be using your kit. There's more need for things in a very rural area, as compared to a city, where you wouldn't need much at all. But movin' on, just the basics, what do you actually need, and what'll you use? Be wary of getting too much you won't use. Consider all this, I can't answer for you, 'cause I'm in a much different enviroment than you, and there is many many variables.

And btw.... you're a whacker.
