*after i finished the paperwork for that last, i head out to the bay area to grab the rope we used on that call and replace it with new rescue rope. As i walk to the truck i notice Kyle sitting on the turntable with someone new from EMS. I walk over to the turntable to introduce myself.*

'hey there I'm Aaron"

*she responds back*

'I'm Ariana nice to meet you'

*I look over at Kyle and I notice that something isn't right*

' You ok Kyle? you look like you have something on your mind'

"One day, you will be old, you will be frail, and you will be slow.

Someone will ask you; "What did you do in your day? What did you do in your prime?

When you were young and strong and fast?" You will tell them you were a fireman; and

when the day is done, and the page is turned, that will be enough." FDNY Captain

“Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets,

nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle.

Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back.” Heraclitus

*Returning to the station I back M2 in the bay and get out once I come to a complete stop.*

'Alright, Miller, let's restock and if we have time.  Wash her down.'

*I say as I head to storage room not wanting to think about what I saw on the last call.  Knowing we need 4x4 gauze I grab those.*

After figuring my way around my new station and meeting a few of the firefighters that were around, I head back out to the bay to check over the quint making a point to check all the compartments to make sure nothing was missing. Although being a bit new to the station, having plenty of previous fire department experience was a major plus to this. I continue to check over the compartments, doing this not only to make sure everything was in place but also to help familiarize myself with the truck. After a bit of this I head over to my gear and bring it over to the truck. It was nice to be able to hang the gear on the truck instead of having to run to the rack every call. From there I prepare to head into the living area when I hear the tones drop.

"I guess we're already starting this"

I say with a little grin, oddly enough despite having to deal with classwork from CFU, I was still fairly optimistic about hoping for a busy shift.

*After a few weeks absence, I walk into the station and put my bag in my locker. After locking it, I proceed to walk towards the living area. The station is eerily quiet. As I approach, I hear the sound of Günther being played. I peer around the corner to check the source of the music. While doing so, I spot an odd person wearing a green mankini. I walk around the corner and attempt to speak to them.*

"What the fuck are you doing?"
