Figured we needed a topic where we can post incidents in our area...
For the sake of keeping clutter down, let's only post incidents that are still active...

In Fort Erie, Fire just got dispatched for an MVC (MVA for my American peeps :P ) on Sunset Drive, near Garrison Road (Highway 3). No one's responded yet, it's 0025 on a saturday night/sunday morning. The guys are all probably passed out drunk at home :P Correction, Pump 3's responding now :P

Yesterday, we had a nice structure fire in a townhouse. Took about half an hour. Sad thing is it left a family without a home but red cross came and took care of that.

2 Days ago, someone tryed to murder a woman, right next to my house, by pushing her from a 3rd floor of her appartment.
She is alive, well at least for now, I'm not sure if she will survive, all I know, is that you have to almost die to be in the newspapper :3

Occupy Boston Protesters were evicted 12 hours ago. 46 people arrested, no injuries. Best removal out of all the occupations out there. Yeah! Boston is always #1!

St. John's still wins, our mayor said it would be unconstitutional to remove the protesters, and they are free to leave when they can, and may stay as long as they wish, so long as they do not damage property

Well, our government knows not to mess with us. If they pulled the stuff they did in LA, we'd pull what they did in the early 90's. And we by far outnumber the riot squads. Essentially, the government sees no harm in them at this time, however at the same time, the government doesn't do much, so maybe they just are too apathetic to do anything.

We're doomed with bad luck. Two people struck down on the same road in 24 hours. Numerous large fires, several cases of arson resulting in death, a man fell off a Christmas parade float and was run over by the wheel, resulting in death before paramedics could treat him (the fire truck was four floats back, so near instant death) and numerous major accidents on the highway leading into the big city. And that's just in the recent news page. In recent memory, two bodies have showed up in our biggest park (within a month of eachother) and there have been a few murders, and murder suicides, within a couple months.

wow yeah DC that is very bad luck. Where I live we have maybe one murder or "suspicious death" every decade, we have about 30-40 thousand people living my neighborhood alone.

I had a pretty busy day... Went to Niagara Falls with my buddy (next City to the NW of me.). We were heading to Harvey's for a burger, and came upon a two vehicle MVC. Him being a firefighter, and me being a SaRTech, we had to stop. So we control the flow of traffic on the single busiest street in the city for about ten minutes before Regional Police show up. Then, we're just getting back into town when he gets a phone call from his girlfriend, she's at a Time Horton's with a huge headache and feeling dizzy. Turns out she got tossed off her horse a few hours before. So we had to deal with that. Then, on the way to meet back up with her and her mom at the hospital, we come across a sh*t ton of smoke blowing across the road. Turns out a guy had just started his wood-stove up for the winter (little late, it's been cold for a while...), and he'd messed up and charged his house with smoke. That was fun. Needless to say, I'm a little tired. Now my ex from like 6 years ago (My first relationship I could legitimately call serious) just texted me and said she needs me to come over, her dad's sick and she doesn't know what to do. I should just change my number to 9-1-1. Oh, wait.... lol

There's more tim's per capita in newfoundland than any other place in the world. Every neighbourhood has at least one, it's so bad, there are a few instances where we have two tims next to eachother, no joke.

The one that does the best though hands down is the one next to the Police station, and the central fire station, oh yeah, and the old CLB barracks, which is now used a sort of cadets, or JROTC building, with full time staff, that also love their coffee, so unless you're in some sorta uniform, it's doubtful you'll get much, if any, coffee over there. Oh yeah, and did I mention, there is the police academy within walking distance of that one too? Seriously, they don't stop.
