About Me

Born in California, Graduated high school and Joined the USCG Reserve. Became a USCG Boatswain Mate and got additional training as Coxswain, Tactical Coxswain, Law Enforcement such as Boarding Officer, Narcotics classes, and Federal Law Enforcement academy. He then went to college and graduated from with honors. He also received his his EMT certification and attended his counties Fire Academy. Ditto was then hired on by CalFire as a full time firefighter. He worked a normal engine during the normal part of the year and then was a firefighter on the helicopter out of northern California during fire season. He worked with CalFire up to 2008, when he heard about The Emergency Response Team, a federal department that would be a great opportunity. He moved to Phoxlind with his wife and two dogs and they purchased a fairly new built house up in the hills outside of Phoxlind in the forest.
Shortly after, Ditto was hired on by ERT FD as a firefighter on Ladder 1, later to train in Search and Rescue then High risk Environment Rescue, where he served as the full time HRES Officer for Ladder 1. He worked his way up fairly quickly to the rank of Lieutenant for Ladder and then as the Light Force Officer. Ditto then took a medical leave for several months. When he returned he was reassigned to HRES Officer on Ladder 1, after his position on the Ladder had been permanently filled. He handled several calls and trained others in both Search and Rescue as well as HRES Rescue. He and his wife had a baby girl, Rosalee, who was born on February 2, 2011. He shortly thereafter was promoted to Chief of Station 1 for ERT FD. After a rearrangement of units and systems, Ditto was promoted to the official rank of Deputy Chief, to oversee Training and Stations 1 and 2.
After several years with the fire department, Ditto felt that he should follow his real passion. During an arson investigation with the ERT Police Department, he decided the move was imminent, and after consulting the ERT Police Department manual, he determined he had the necessary required courses to be an ERT Police Officer, less the on the job training, already owning a restricted weapons permit, completing police studies courses, including physical training, and after completing some required paperwork, was able to work as a police officer with the ERT:PD, acting as the arson and fire liaison. Then after a short deployment through the Coast Guard Ditto returned to ERT:PD, where he was assigned to the Collision Investigations Unit and also was added to the ERT:PD TAC unit. Then in 2012 after clearing a Gang unit call, Ditto was promoted to the Captain of the Tactical Apprehension Crew. After Serving a year on the Tactical Apprehension Crew Ditto asked to return to Patrol.
